This machine uses scrap foam (recycled foam) as its major component, along with chemicals. Thus, bonded foam is formed when scrap foam reacts with chemicals under pressure.

The prepared granules and polymer are mixed in the mixing chamber of the plant, and are then filled into the mould to be put under pressure and steam. The reaction takes a few minutes to occur, after which the finished blocks may be removed and left for curing for 8 hours before conversion.

Low to medium density foam can be converted on ordinary cutting machines.

High density foam requires special heavy duty machines for conversion.
